Diagnosing Issues

This issue can have multiple causes. Here you find instructions on how to diagnose the issues so that we can send you replacement parts under warranty. We provide you with the correct purchase link for Replacement Parts for cases where the warranty expires after you diagnose the issue.

This issue could be caused by problems with the ESC, Charger, Battery, or Power Button.

Instructions: Perform the test

Step #1 Check the power button

1. Press the power button.
2. Listen for a beep and check if the lights turn on.

If it turns on but doesn't respond to the remote, check the remote guide here.

Step #2 Verify that the charger is working

1. Plug the charger into an outlet.
2. Check if the green light on the charger turns on.

If there's no light or a red light, the charger needs replacement.

Step #3 Use the Smart-Turn-On feature to start the Board

1. Spin each wheel manually.
2. See if the board turns on automatically.

If it does turn on, the power button is broken. 

• consider replacing the ESC or continue using smart turn-on from here on to start your board

Step #4 Test while charging

1. Plug the charger into the board.
2. Check if the light turns red (indicating power flow).
3. Try turning on the board while plugged in.

If it does turn on, the battery is causing the issue. 

• If you are under warranty, contact us for a replacement
• if your warranty expires, here you can find a replacement battery.

If it does NOT turn on, most likely it's still the battery issue.
However, it could be the ESC's fault as well.

• This is why we include the ESC and Battery in the case when you buy the new battery case for Hurricane Bamboo Pro. 
• For Hurricane Bamboo, our recommendation is to get a new battery case first and see if it solves the issue. 
  • If it does not solve, return the battery case and get a new ESC instead
  • If you don't want to risk it, get both parts and exchange them altogether.
